Outlook Tips and Tricks
Remove Fax Numbers As A Valid Email Choice
First off if you plan on using Outlook to send faxes then don't follow these instructions. Doing so will cause problems with your ability to send faxes from Outlook.
The easiest way to prevent fax numbers from showing up when you try to resolve an email address from your address book is to preface the number with a letter like "F:" or "Fax:". Doing this will prevent the fax number from s howing up in the Outlook Address Book.
Alternatively you could store the fax number in a field other than the default fax field but that is just asking for trouble.
